- Why should I order online?
- Ordering books and other merchandise online is ideal for
students who simply can't make it in.
- No lineups!
- No searching for books - we pick out your books for you.
That's right. We'll ship your order right to your door. Or,
ask us to reserve your order and simply come and pick it up
- saving yourself the hassle of locating each book, and our
Reservation Service is FREE.
- What's the best way to find the book that I want?
First, you'll need your timetable, or a list of the courses
for the current term. Then from the bookstore homepage, click
on "Textbooks" from the "Browse Our Site" drop down
menu. Then select "search by course number". Then
all you need to do is enter your course number into the space
provided and click "Submit all Courses". You can also enter
additional information like Term (ie Winter2001) from the drop
down boxes. You will then see a list of books with details on
each book including Title, Author, Availability and Price. From
there you can add items to your basket and proceed to the checkout.
- How do I make a purchase?
Simply select the books you wish to purchase according to
the term you are registered for and click "Buy" or "Buy
Course" if you want to buy all books for that course.
You will then be asked to enter some information including a
password before entering our secure payment page. After entering
your payment information you will be given confirmation that
the order was successful and you can print your receipt. On
your receipt you will notice an Account Number. We recommend
keeping your Account Number and password on hand for future
purchases. Should you lose this information you can simply re-register
by entering all of your information again. You will definitely
want to do this if you change addresses or want an order shipped
to a different location than where your last order was shipped.
- How safe is it to order books and merchandise online?
We take great care in protecting your personal information.
That is why you must re-enter your payment information with
each purchase. When you provide us with your credit card information
it is processed on a secure server. One of today’s most advanced
security systems - Secure Socket Layers (SSL) - encrypts your
credit card information before sending it to our main server
where your information is decrypted.

- How long will delivery take, and at what cost?
Most deliveries take 1 to 2 days unless you are located a distance
from the nearest Canada Post distribution centre. We use Expedited
Parcel service which will require you to sign for your package.
If you are not available to sign, a note will be left for you
to pick up the parcel at the nearest postal outlet.
Delivery costs $5.00 per order.
- How do I return items purchased online?
Our return policy for online orders is the same as for in-store
purchases. You have up to 14 days from the transaction date
to return books or merchandise to us with the original invoice.
Items that are wrapped in plastic are not returnable if the
plastic is removed. Books and merchandise must be received by
us in their original condition, so we advise you to use an insurable
method of delivery, like a local courier or Canada Post Xpresspost
service. See our Return Policy for

- Can I choose to pick up my order instead of having it delivered?
Absolutely. Simply proceed in submitting your
order. After you have filled in the required information,
you will be asked if you would like to reserve your order on
the next page. Click on the reserve button. Please retain your
order number so that we can quickly find your order when you
come for pickup and payment.
- What if I can't find my books online?
If you tried this procedure and you are sure
your course number is correct, you can notify us by email, call
us, or use our Special Order Form.
We will need to know the course number you entered, the title
and author of the book(s) you need. We will respond to your
request promptly.
- What should I do if I get an error?
At any time, if you encounter problems using our website please
let us know immediately, providing us with the following information:
- Description of the problem
- Date and time the problem occurred
- What browser and version you were using (ie Netscape 4,
Internet Explorer 5)
- How do cookies work? Why do I need to enable them?
A cookie is a small file that is placed on your computer and
contains unique transaction information (but NOT your payment
information). The e-commerce section of our website uses cookies
in order to save your shopping basket and other personal information
so that on your next visit, you don't need to re-enter it. If
you disable cookie use in your browser, you will not be able
to make a purchase, but you can still browse our entire site
and search for books to verify author, edition, availability
