This site uses the HP WebWise MPE/iX Secure Web Server
based on Apache to ensure absolute security when sensitive
information is requested.
In addition to the standard features of the MPE/iX Apache
Web Server, the HP WebWise Secure Web Server offers full-strength,
128-bit RSA encryption, secure communications protocols (SSLv2,
v3 and TLS v1.0), support for X.509 certificates authentication.

This site runs the Bookware 3000 eSolution from Carleton
Technologies. The Bookware 3000 eSolution is a complete,
integrated, ecommerce web solution for bookstores and
enables us to present
the most accurate and up-to-date data possible. The Bookware
3000 eSolution is seamlessly integrated with the bookstore's
back-end Bookware 3000 Business Management System. Course
Information on this site, as well as Text, Trade, Merchandise
information, and all pricing are updated every 6 minutes
from the bookstore's business databases.

To view the different areas of this web site, simply click
on any of the buttons along the left side of the page.
To use the Quick Search on the left panel of all pages,
select the type of search from the pull down menu and enter your search criteria.
Press the "Go!" icon to perform the search.
The minimum requirement to view our Web Site is a 640 x 480
display with a minimum of 256 colours. The Site relies on
tables, javascript and forms for its functionality so it is
best viewed with Netscape Navigator 3.0+ or Internet Explorer
4.0+. For more information click the "About This Site" link.

Our Servers |
The bookstore operates on a computer system incorporating two
Hewlett-Packard
HPe3000 Servers. The bookstore's HPe3000 928/LX houses the
bookstore's extensive databases and Bookware 3000 Bookstore
Management System from Carleton
Technologies. The web site running the Bookware 3000 eSolution,
runs on the bookstore's HPe3000 918/LX using the
Apache Web Server for MPE/iX as well as HP WebWise Secure
Server based on Apache for secure connections. Both servers
use the Hewlett-Packard MPE/iX POS/IX compliant operating system.
All data on both servers is kept safe and secure in Hewlett-Packard
Turbo Image databases, all accessed in real-time. Finally,
internet connection to the server is provided by
Algonquin College.
